Less than a week till Christmas, but there’s still time to shop for gifts for family and friends! I posted a general gift guide earlier this month, but today’s gift guide is for the travelers in your life. This has been on my mind lately because I’m leaving for London in February and I have lots to do to prepare! So I’ve put together a list of items that will appeal to all travelers. Hope it helps! *I’ve included links to dupes / more affordable options when necessary!
#1 WINTER ACCESSORIES (SCARVES/GLOVES)
J Crew Plaid Blanket Scarf in Ivory Multi ($23.50)
J Crew Cashmere-Lined Leather Tech Gloves ($98)
Winter accessories make great gifts. When I’m traveling, especially this time of year, I like to stay warm, and scarves and gloves are some of my favorite gifts (both to give and to receive!). Whatever your price range, you’re sure to find the appropriate accessory.
#2 TRAVEL CORD ROLL
ProCase Travel Gear Organizer Electronics Accessories Bag ($13.99, Amazon Prime)
This is awesome for keeping all your tech accessories organized. It’s so easy to misplace charging cords, but this keeps everything neat and in one place (which is perfect for travel / on the go).
Kindle Paperwhite E-Reader ($99.99, Amazon Prime)
Powerbeats3 Wireless In-Ear Headphones ($119.99)
Something to occupy the time while in the car or on an airplane. I love my Kindle Paperwhite because it’s slim and lightweight, but particularly because it’s preferable to reading on my phone or any other electronic device when I’m in the sun (poolside / on the beach / etc) – no glare! I also have a pair of wireless headphones, which I love because I can listen to my music while keeping my phone tucked away in my bag or in my pocket.
#4 MINIMERGENCY KIT
Pinch Provisions Metallic Minimergency Kit ($18)
Super cute, super convenient. It’s a fun gift for friends/family because it’s practical but relatively inexpensive. There are lots of patterns/styles/themes to choose from, for both men and women. These kits are for “mini emergencies,” and are especially handy in any number of unwelcome situations (contents include a deodorant towelette, stain remover, earring backs, dental floss, a safety pin, and more).
#5 TRAVEL BOOKS
The New York Times: 36 Hours Europe, 2nd Edition ($25.99)
111 Places in New York That You Must Not Miss ($13.94)
The perfect gift for the traveler who loves to do their research! Half the fun is the pre-trip researching/planning/organizing. These books are filled with beautiful images and all kinds of helpful advice and insider tips from experienced travelers.
#6 WATER BOTTLE
Yellow Gold Swell Traveler ($40)
I love the size and shape of this water bottle. It keeps drinks hot or cold. And there are lots of fun colors/styles to choose from!
MIRA Vacuum Insulated Travel Water Bottle ($17.95, Amazon Prime)
#7 WEEKENDER BAG
Everlane Twill Weekender in Reverse Denim / Black ($115)
Great for all manner of short trips. A stylish, durable weekender bag is a must-have accessory and I really love this weekender from Everlane.
#8 FOLDABLE BALLET FLATS
Tory Burch Minnie Travel Ballet Flat in Natural Leopard ($228)
I was given these ballet flats as a gift, and I wear them practically every day. They’re so comfortable and durable, but super stylish. And you can quite literally fold them in half to pack in a bag/suitcase when you’re on the go.
#9 THERMAL LAYERS
Cuddl Duds Softwear Stretch Long Sleeve Crew Shirt ($18.99)
Layering is key when it comes to keeping warm, and it’s easy to layer thermal pieces beneath heavier sweaters. Cuddl Duds is a reliable brand for quality thermal pieces.
#10 MAKEUP ERASER
Makeup Eraser The Original Facial Black Exfoliator ($19.95)
I’m not a huge fan of makeup-remover wipes, so I travel with this “makeup eraser,” a reusable cloth which removes makeup with only water.
