I created a similar gift guide last year, and was excited to post a bit earlier this season so there’s still time to shop for family and friends! This gift guide is geared toward the people in your life who love travel. Much of my year involved travel, so I had quite a few gift ideas! The items featured in this travel-themed holiday gift guide include items / accessories that I own and use, or items on my personal wishlist! Best of all, the gifts I’ve linked are under $100 (and most are less than $50!). And there’s still time to catch the Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounts and sales.
I love dressing for the fall season because I can break out my jeans, cozy sweaters, and booties. I love the colors of the season – rich browns, olive green, garnet. A few weeks ago, I listed 5 Instagram accounts to follow for “fall style inspo,” because these bloggers’ looks definitely inspired MY seasonal shopping. In this post, I’m recommending 5 pieces (both basics and “fad” pieces!) you need in your wardrobe this fall. I’ve included styling tips and links to each of the pieces I’m wearing, as well as alternatives at various price-points!
One of my favorite fall recipes is chocolate chip banana bread. I absolutely love the fall season for all the holidays and the excuse to make good food. My mom and I do a lot of baking for family and friends, and a seasonal bread makes for a great gift. Pumpkin bread and chocolate chip banana bread are our go-to’s, so I thought I’d share the recipe for those of you with a seasonal sweet tooth.
We’ve used Raechel Ray’s recipe for years. It never lets us down. I keep the recipe stored in Paprika, an awesome recipe manager app that I can access on both my computer and my iPhone. You can enter recipes manually, or paste a link to an online site and Paprika will do the rest.
When we make banana bread, we typically double the recipe (select “scale 2x” in the app and it will automatically calculate the new measurements). Our doubled recipe makes a large loaf and a small loaf, and sometimes we’ll freeze the smaller loaf or wrap it up as a gift.
Happy October! I am so ready for cozy sweaters and pumpkin patch pictures. (Probably only one of those two things will happen here in Florida.) I’ve designed this desktop calendar, as well as an accompanying iPhone wallpaper. I shared the iPhone wallpaper for the first time last month, and I loved using it as my September lock screen. The iPhone wallpaper is compatible with the following models: iPhone 7 Plus / iPhone 7, iPhone 6S Plus / iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S / iPhone 6. *You may have to pinch the image to rescale on smaller devices (I have a 6S and it worked like a charm).
Looking forward to sharing the content I have planned for the rest of the month! As a reminder, I post every Monday and Thursday.

Fall is my favorite season of the year, because I love wearing jeans and sweaters and cute booties! You would think I’d have had my fill of “cooler” temps during my 6 months in London, but the heat wave brought record-high temperatures and I’ve lived in shorts and t-shirts all summer. Now that I’m home in Florida, I hope it will begin to feel like fall in the coming weeks. (I mean, it IS almost October.)
So on the blog today, I’m sharing 5 Instagram accounts to give you some fall fashion inspo. I follow so many fantastic Instagram accounts, but I’ve narrowed it down to these 5 by scrolling through my Instagram “collection,” or “saved” posts. I use the bookmarking feature in Instagram to save posts I’d like to go back to later, especially outfit inspo. When I get around to it, I screenshot these “saved” posts so I can look up the pieces I love in the LikeToKnowIt app.
It was actually really enlightening to scroll through my bookmarked posts and see which accounts they’d come from. For example, I hadn’t realized so many of my “saved” posts came from @jaimeshrayber! Now I’m excited to share her account because I absolutely love her style and her feed.
